So many people suffer daily because they don’t fit in to their society. Some try very hard to fit in, and feel awkward, miserable, and lonely either because they just don’t succeed or because they have to deny what they really are, in order to succeed, and then they feel as if they only fit in when they wear a false front. They don’t allow themselves to do what their inner inclinations want them to do, and stand out from the crowd. It seems to them that they will be very, very, lonely if they do, and people may misjudge them badly, and put them down in various ways. Well, the fact is, it can be isolating to be different, but it can be lonelier to be a smiling member of the crowd, but not really agreeing with the crowd.
Each of us is gifted with unique God-given talents and abilities, and to follow our unique path means we have to be different to some degree, and so express our own special magnificence in ways no one else can. So even if you are the only one walking a path, follow your own unique, inner, divine abilities, and shine out for all you are worth whenever and wherever you can. If you are then misunderstood, if you are alone, you will still have satisfaction and a feeling of inner sincerity, and support from God, and divine nourishment which takes away loneliness, and brings great rewards, better than any you could have from trying so hard to fit in that you don’t use your abilities.
